On September 5, 2025, the first medical simulation center in the country’s healthcare system was inaugurated at the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital. The project was implemented with the support of the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) and Inha University Hospital (Republic of Korea). The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Erkin Checheybaev, Members of Parliament, Cabinet representatives, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Kim Gwan Chae, leaders of KOFIH and Inha University, as well as medical professionals and invited guests.
The center is equipped with modern simulators and VR technologies, including MedVision Simulator Mia HF, Arthur, Leonardo, and Zarnitza. They enable healthcare workers to practice life-saving skills in conditions close to reality, simulating emergencies such as cardiac arrest or severe trauma. The Minister of Health emphasized that the launch of the center is an important step in improving the quality of healthcare and medical training. The Korean Ambassador highlighted that investments totaled 880 million won, with more than 100 units of equipment delivered and 30 Kyrgyz specialists trained in intensive care and emergency medicine.
